America 250 Scavenger Hunt for
Revolutionary War Soldiers in Callaway County
Set for June 1-30

As part of the America 250 celebration, KCHS is finding and marking sites of ten Revolutionary War soldiers who came to Callaway County and left their mark. The ten we will be asking you to visit are all across the county. You may be able to visit all ten, or only the ones in your area. Some are actual gravesites and some will be land holdings as no burial site can be confirmed. We are taking the entire month of June to allow enough time.

We hope you will want to participate in the scavenger hunt and honor these brave men. Our guidelines are much the same as in the past. Download the packet (available soon), select your destinations, read about each soldier, find the site, take a selfie with the official KCHS sign, and send it in.

We will again have a drawing for prizes for those who visit all ten sites and submit selfies by the June 30 deadline:
1st prize is $100
2nd prize is $75
3rd prize is $50.

Winners will be announced on July 4th. Submit selfies to KCHS Facebook page, email to museum@callawaymohistory.org, or bring to the Research Center at 106 E. 4th St. in Fulton by end of day, June 30, 2026.
