 America 250 Scavenger Hunt for
Revolutionary War Soldiers in Callaway County
Set for June 1-30

As part of the America 250 celebration, KCHS is honoring ten Revolutionary War soldiers who not only fought for our independence, but were also pioneers who became some of the early settlers in Callaway County.

To learn more about these brave men, just download the packet (button on left) to read about each soldier and discover where they lived and chose for their final resting place. The ten we have identified are all across the county. You may be able to visit all ten, or only the ones near you. Some locations are actual gravesites and some will be land holdings as no burial site can be confirmed. Markers will be in place the entire month of June to allow enough time. Even if you don’t participate in the entire scavenger hunt, we welcome you to share your thoughts on our KCHS Facebook page.

We will again have a drawing for prizes for those who visit all ten sites and submit selfies by the June 30 deadline. To be eligible for a prize, take selfies with the official KCHS sign posted at each location and post them to the KCHS Facebook page, email them to museum@callawaymohistory.org, or bring them to the Research Center at 106 E. 4th St. in Fulton by end of day, June 30, 2026.

1st prize is $100
2nd prize is $75
3rd prize is $50.

Winners will be announced on July 4th.
