KCHS Educational Grant Program

Society Mission Statement:
To collect, preserve, and share the history of Callaway County with all generations.

 Who is eligible to apply?

Staff of accredited Callaway County public or private schools grades PK-12

The Society will encourage a multidisciplinary approach to the grant process, inviting history, language arts, humanities, and other educators to develop grant projects.

The Basics

A. Grant submissions are due April 4, 2025.

B. Grants will only be awarded to staff in accredited Callaway County public and private schools. All subject areas will be considered.

C. The school district in which the grantee is employed will be required to provide an account for grant funds to be deposited.

D. Grants will be chosen by April 20, 2025.

E. Grants will not exceed $1,000 each.

F. Applications will be scored according to the following criteria:

a. a detailed description of the project with clear evidence that the project will enrich the educational experiences/well-being of students;

b. creative and innovative components and a description of how the project will stimulate and improve the educational experience;

c. realistic goals and outcomes clearly stated;

e. definitive timeline of when activities will occur, funds will be spent, and students will begin to see the benefits;

f. specific costs are stated, funding request is detailed;

g. project relates to the KCHS mission;

h. and project includes a substantial historical component.
