Every few years, we host a Fashion and Fun event. The theme is picked, ads are sold for the booklet, fashions are chosen and volunteers are recruited. In 2019, the theme was weddings. We had wedding dresses modeled from the 1860s to the 1990s. A local collector contributed cake toppers that we used as centerpieces. This year’s them is fashion trends of the 20th century.

Generally, the event is held on a Sunday afternoon in mid-late Summer. Vintage clothing and accessories from our well-stocked KCHS fashion closet, as well as shared by community members, are displayed and modeled. Guests purchase tickets for a fun afternoon of learning about trends and styles and have tea, sweets, and conversation.
